Motel Mezcal draws from deep Mexican roots — grounded in sacred tradition, artisanal craft, and the raw beauty of weathered hands.

The brand is a collision of cultures and eras: think artists and icons drinking Motel Mezcal under the LA skyline, vinyl spinning into the night, conversations circling art, architecture, and identity.

It channels brutalist Mexican forms, Oaxacan spirit, and a sense of timeless authenticity. I was brought on to evolve Motel’s identity – expanding their visual infrastructure to better speak to investors, providers, and consumers alike.

By developing a rich library of assets to pair with their stunning documentary imagery of the Palenque and Mexico beyond, we captured the tones of ember, sun, and earth that define the mezcal process. The result; a statement piece. Future-ready, malleable, and unmistakable aesthetic built to scale.

After months of working on Argus's brand strategy we began working to revamp there existing brand into a modern society. Using a muted colour palette with a punching orange to symbolise fire – and with strong use of lines to allude to armour and also construction. These subtle semiotics are used to show Argus as an assuring defence force against fire hazards and are also executed in the brand photography.
